Kyla's One-Year photos
Just observing.
So last month we went down to take some pics of this little nugget. I wanted to take her home, but grandma (and mom and dad) wouldn't let me. What's up with that?
Grandma's favorite, made her cry.
Big softy.
Dear Kyla,
Here is your little finger. Here is grandma, wrapped tightly. Now, quick, ask for a car!
Love,
Lana

Meet Kade
I got an opportunity to try out my new (old) baby doll carriage that I got for a whopping $16.50 antique shopping. FYI, we saw a similar one this weekend not as cute for $240!!
Sweet feet of Kade and his brother and sister. They were all really cute kids!
Dad is a John Deere guy. Can you tell?
I also finally found a little guy to put into my giant teacup. He just barely fit. He also seized the opportunity to chew on his toes.
Bet ya can't do that when you're 40 Kade.
No, in fact I down right guarantee it.

And my absolute favorite of the session:
Selective coloring does not make you popular in some photography circles but I DON'T CARE! I so much love how cute this photo is. It wasn't my favorite when I started (It's grainy so I totally ran with the grainy theme and made it more grainy lol), now I love how those eyes just pop.
Thanks for being such a good boy Kade. You can come live with me any time you want. Well, as long s you are smiley and sweet, then it's back to mom. :p

Laura's Session - Missouri Maternity photographer

Go Laura.
Laura is kinda conservative straight laced. {that's ok, we like that too} I badly wanted her pic with her mustang and asked Laura to give me something a little on the "hot mamma" side. I'm fairly impressed. I can tell you for sure that when I was 7.5 months pregnant, I was not balancing myself on heels up against my mustang.
To be fair, she put her slippers back on as soon as we got in the car. LOL.
P.S. - Laura, you and I need to ditch the men and the kids for a weekend and have a Thelma and Louise. We'll take your car. I'll drive. LOL.

Baby Sarah - Missouri Newborn Photographer

I had a ton of props I wanted to use, but only had time to use a couple, my favorite being this funny square/diamond basket.

She loved this snuggie, it kept her asleep to take quite a few pics. It's handmade from a thrift store find scarf!

If you would like to have beautiful newborn shots of your new baby, please visit my website and contact me to add you to the schdule. The best time to photograph the new baby is in the first 3 weeks, so schedule NOW if you are pregnant!

snow snow, go away, sunflare come out and let's play
When you're down about the weather. When your back yard is ice/snow/ice sandwich, when no matter how hard you try, you can't get warm, you can always pull out pics of green grass and bare feet and it makes you feel warmer, at least in your heart. Here we're playing with light - a nice sunflare across the lens - some people love sunflare, i'm one of em. I also punched up the saturation *a lot* to make the grass much greener and to balance out from the sunflare.
Now, back to looking out my window. Did I mention I'm kinda hating winter?

Meet Riley
We hung out today for a bit, taking pics of Riley and her mom and Dad. We did a combo of baby, engagement, family shoot all in one.Man was it COLD.
She was a trooper otherwise. Only got bored a tiny bit. Riley was a turtle for Halloween, so they wanted to get pics of her cutie turle costume sans turtle head. heh. This is Riley, getting ready to eat a leaf. She kinda stole the show. Sorry.

This is Jeff and Courtney - aka - the 'rents. We only had to smack Jeff twice to get him to loosen up. :)Too bad it was so freaking cold.
I
take pictures because I'm driven to create. I really like making normal
people look their best, so you probably won't see any gorgeous models
in my portfolio. Just regular people who look like gorgeous models. For
many people, my images will be a defining point in their self-image. I
take that seriously, and I treat them with a respect befitting the beauty
I see in all people.
