Kandy and Ryan Get Married! Iowa Wedding Photographer

Kandy and I met at a local deli to talk about her wedding. One of the first things she told me was she was getting married at her parents house.

On a deck.

In the middle of a pond.

Say what? I'm in!

And she did. Her parents own a small fish hatchery in Iowa (my home town) and in the front yard they build their own pond. Right in the middle of this pond is an adorable little deck/dock. Built by none other than the groom himself. I couldn't think of a more special place that these two SHOULD get married.






















































































It was a beautiful ceremony and sweet reception with everything at Kandy's parents home. I don't think we could have asked for a more beautiful day.

Senior Feature - Morgan

Meet Morgan. I had the pleasure of photographing this funny and beautiful senior just yesterday.

Morgan's dad was in my graduating class. Morgan's mom was a year or two younger than myself. Yes, we're all old. Yes, I feel old. Morgan is also my senior rep from my old school (Bedford, Iowa) and really into doing "out there" kind of pictures.

This makes me *a very happy photographer*.

We spent a lot of time laughing over old school senior photos, and well, just laughing.

And sadly also a raiders fan. Sigh.
I don't think there's any changing that.

My favorite photo so far of the shoot was the one above. It wasn't planned, it just sort of happened and those are my favorite ones of all.

We actually have a second shoot coming up soon. Morgan has agreed to do a Trash the Prom Dress session (YAY!) so you will be seeing a lot more of this girl! Good thing she's so cute, so it won't be a difficult issue for any of us.

Kandy and Ryan - Engaged - Maryville, Missouri Wedding Photographer

Next month I will be shooting Kandy and Ryan's wedding. Kandy is a lucky girl, she will be getting married next to a pond, which is in her parent's yard. They will be on a dock extending into the lake, that Ryan happened to build. I can't think of a more memorable place to be married. I am kind of scared of water, so this might be a long lens kind of moment. LOL.

I traveled to Bedford, Iowa to her parents home so that I could see where it would be, and also do their engagement photos at the pond, and more later at the Lake of Three Fires.

What you can't see is the kitty that kept following us, and wanting to be in all the photos. LOL. I LOVE cats, but I'll admit he was a bit of a pest.

This last one is my favorite of the whole set. Sweet and innocent, yet sexy at the same time.

I'm looking forward to what that pond will bring. But I'm hoping the cat won't visit. LOL.
